- An Assault In the Dark of Night
by Darin Gaub December 6th 2024 “The Army’s National Training Center, next to Death Valley, has a few things going for it. Dusty, dark, miserably hot, windy, brutally cold, coyotes, snakes, spiders, never-ending sand – and many humans running around the desert training for war with little to no sleep for days. Sounds like fun.” In the Netflix mini-series “Band of Brothers,” there is a famous episode called “The Last Patrol” where Captain Winters (Damian Lewis) tells one of his platoons that they have been ordered for a second time to cross a river to capture Germans for interrogation. The platoon had completed the same mission the night prior and lost men. Already dealing with numerous losses from Bastogne and with World War II seemingly ending, this mission was rightfully viewed as an unnecessary risk pushed on them by their battalion commander. Captain Winters informed the men the mission was scheduled for 2 am, then ordered them all to get a good night’s rest; he would see them in the morning. Ignoring the battalion commander's orders was risky, but Captain Winters knew the mission came with little reward. With a wink and nod, he departed the platoon’s headquarters. Few people get the chance to make a life and career-altering decision in a public manner that sets the tone of their leadership and displays to many what self-sacrifice looks like. I had that chance because my situation demanded decisions that would ultimately end my career. It came while training with my aviation Task Force at the U.S. Army’s National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California. I had previously lived for three years as a trainer, doing my part to prepare thirty-three brigades to go to Iraq or Afghanistan. On January 18, 2018, a flight of two AH-64 Apache helicopters was conducting their mission in the center portion of the training area when one of those aircraft suffered a Night Vision System failure. This was a known system problem in this aircraft, and the pilots were suddenly unable to see in the dark while flying close to the ground in a mountainous desert environment. The aircraft impacted the ground, and First Lieutenant Clay Cullen and Chief Warrant Officer Two Kevin Burke were killed immediately. I knew them both from our time training together for deployment to Fort Irwin, and their loss was a tragedy that had a significant impact on the Task Force. This was not the first time I had been in a unit that lost crew members, but this was my first loss in training rather than combat. The Brigade Commander of the unit we were training with immediately canceled a major helicopter air assault we had scheduled for 24 hours later, and although we all knew that “the mission must go on” is a rule of thumb necessary to military life, sometimes prudence dictates change. This training event was in January 2018, and many were convinced that we would soon be at war in Korea. Those higher ranking than the Brigade Commander I was working for refused to cancel the air assault and pushed for its execution at any cost. This was the fifth time during my service that I had been on short notice to deploy to South Korea, and it was clear to me that President Trump was playing a game of brinksmanship with North Korea. I never thought we would end up invading, so my mindset was not one of risking so much for one training event. Air assault missions are not minor events and are highly complicated. They involve multiple rehearsals and much planning. For such a mission to succeed, commanders and their staffs must integrate artillery, drones, helicopters with various loads, fixed-wing aircraft at different altitudes, and rehearsals, to name only some details. The goal is to synchronize numerous moving parts into a landing by helicopters that is +/- 30 seconds of the time planned. There are specific steps in planning and rehearsals that must be completed. Those steps were bypassed or minimized to the point where the mission was perilous. To make matters worse, the mission was to occur at night into dusty landing zones that were not yet identified even a few hours before we were to execute. Because many critical requirements were bypassed, I was confident we would suffer casualties if something did not change. Despite my concerns and protests, we were forced to go forward. Any mission like this had criteria to be met before launching aircraft. The landing zones had to meet specific standards, such as no enemy beyond a particular capability, which had to be confirmed by drones or other intelligence assets. If specific enemy forces or a high-value target had to be present, their presence needed to be confirmed too. Add in weather checks, illumination, ensuring we had enough troops and too many other things to list. With so many moving parts, it is easy to see how a mission can get canceled when all the necessary conditions are unmet. In this case, the mission required a minimum force of Soldiers on the ground by a specific time. Because the Chain of Command above me refused to listen, I decided to ensure we did not meet those minimum requirements and force either a cancellation or shift in the timeline. The easy way to do this was to “break” aircraft as they prepared to fly. My key leaders and I devised a code word to pass over the radio that, when heard, would result in plausible maintenance issues affecting the aircraft so they could not launch. As a result, there would not be enough Soldiers in the landing zones to accomplish the mission, and we’d have to cancel or reschedule, gaining critical time. I hated being forced into this position, this was not actual combat, and I was not going to risk so many lives so senior leaders could check a box. When I passed the code word over the Task Force’s command frequency, I knew my opportunities to command in the future ended, and my career was likely over as well. Given the situation, I’d do it again without hesitation. A couple of days later, during a review of what happened, the Brigadier General pushing the air assault mission met with my Task Force leadership. He did what many military officers tend to do and focused on his experience and qualifications while strutting in front of my Task Force leadership, ignoring the real problem. He berated all the leadership, but everybody knew I was his sole target, and I did not care. I knew I had made the right decision. That Brigadier General would continue to get promoted, and I would later move into retirement with a clear conscience. I wrote this short story because of what I have seen happening in the military, where I served for twenty-eight years. Too many officers in the military blindly followed jab mandates, diversity and equity requirements, and the transvestite agenda. They stood by and took no responsibility for their actions during our surrender in Afghanistan. They have sold their souls and replaced them with stars. This is my personal story of a leadership situation and the decision that ended my career. I stand proudly alongside friends who sacrificed more, like Brad Miller , Matt Lohmeier , Stu Scheller , Sam Shoemate , and Brandon Budge , who are part of another small band of brothers willing to sacrifice careers when the cards are on the table. The stories of sacrifice across the military are abundant and affect all ranks; they are the stories of those who refused to violate their oaths - the stories of heroes. As a Co-founder of Restore Liberty, I also stand alongside STARRS.US , Veterans for America First, Heritage Action, Creative Destruction Media, Newsmax, the House Freedom Caucus, the State Freedom Caucus Network, and other organizations that expose the woke agenda’s cancer wherever it grows. What are you called to sacrifice in this war for liberty in America? Do not wait; get out there and do it. - Restoring Christian Values in Schools: A Call to Faithful Action
As Christians, we are called to be stewards of God’s truth and love. The recent decision by the Texas State Board of Education to allow Bible-based curricula in public schools is not merely an educational shift but a profound opportunity to reclaim the moral compass of our nation. In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” This verse echoes the urgency of nurturing faith in the hearts of our children, particularly in today’s increasingly secularized culture. Why Christian Education Matters From the American Revolution to the Civil Rights Movement, Christian teachings have been a cornerstone of moral clarity and societal progress. The Bible’s lessons on humility, forgiveness, and service provide a strong foundation for children navigating the challenges of modern life. Programs like Texas’ optional curriculum, which includes stories such as the Parable of the Prodigal Son, remind students of the power of redemption and unconditional love. These are lessons that transcend religion—they speak to the human soul. Preserving the Legacy of Faith The United States was founded on principles deeply rooted in Christianity. The Declaration of Independence itself acknowledges a Creator who endowed us with rights and responsibilities. Yet, over time, the public square has distanced itself from these origins. By reintroducing Bible lessons, we’re not imposing faith but reconnecting children with a cultural and moral legacy that has shaped our laws, art, and civic life. Addressing Concerns with Compassion Critics argue that incorporating Christian materials in public education alienates students of other faiths. This concern can be addressed with transparency and respect. Optional participation ensures that families retain their authority in spiritual matters, and introducing Christianity in a broader historical context fosters understanding, not division. As faithful stewards, we must ensure this curriculum emphasizes inclusivity while staying rooted in truth. A Vision for the Future The path forward is clear: we must embrace this initiative with prayerful hearts and diligent hands. Just as Christ welcomed all to follow Him, we can invite this generation to explore the transformative power of Scripture. Together, let us champion a revival of Christian education that honors God and prepares our children for a future guided by faith and righteousness. - These are the Days of the Great Reveal!
by Robert Anthony Nov 21st 2024 In 2019 while in prayer, the Lord impressed upon me what 2020 would be like and then at the end of 2020 and again at the end of 2021 and 2022 the Lord repeated Himself, "These are the days of the Revealing." (Every December since 2019 the Lord has reminded me of this prophecy.) Let me explain. We, in the church world, are aware that the book of Revelation is really pointing to end of days events - and is a book of prophecy chronicling what the end will be like. Is that a pretty fair assessment? The word Revelation comes from the word, "Apokalypsis" also referred to as the "Apocalypse". This Greek word literally means, "To lay bare, totally exposed, making naked. A disclosure of Truth. A Manifestation. An Appearance." In context mostly the Revelation is "The Revealing of Christ Jesus our Messiah!" Chapter upon Chapter Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, is being revealed in greater measure throughout the prophesies of John in his book. But what is also quite revealing is what this implies to us in these last days! These Last Days can be summarized as both the days of Great Shaking (Hebrews 12:25-29) but also as The Days of The Great Revealing ! And these two concepts actually work together. God is shaking to Expose, to make Manifest, to REVEAL! The Shaking is to show the world, to borrow an older expression, "What is What". When He shakes it all up, everything gets revealed. For instance, during Covid, didn't we all learn alot about our nation, our leaders, our church leaders, etc.!? The shaking that was Covid revealed a lot to us all. It even revealed a lot to ourselves about WHO WE REALLY ARE. (As scary and difficult as it is to see - God used this event to show us much about ourselves, didn't He!?) God knows exactly what He is doing. It goes without saying, as He is sovereign, but it's a worthwhile expression in light of what I am writing - God knows exactly what He is doing in these Last Days. But remember, God is love. There is much more to the story - its not all bad. Hang in there.... I will continue to explain. God is not only revealing the bad: to purge the dross out of us, to expose the evil of the earth, to make known the hidden deeds of men, etc. maybe even moreso - God is revealing HIS GOODNESS UPON THE EARTH! Now I will be the first to admit, thus far in these last days we have really seen plenty of the evil being revealed and it might seem like, "where is the good in all of this". But remember, the story is just unfolding!! But then again, what news do we really have of what's going on across the world?? Do we get much Good News?? Perhaps there is more goodness being revealed than we know. Having said all that, some of the best scriptures in the whole of the Bible are getting ready to be fulfilled. Here's one of my favorites that God will fulfill before the end, "For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God." (Romans 8:19). But couldn't that scripture also be written, "For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for THE GREAT REVEALING of the sons of God."!? And if, in truth, that is the case - What an exciting time to be alive!! Remember, there is much hidden about these last days. Much has been written about, but of everything we know there is much more that remains hidden, that God will reveal in His time. Look at how many times throughout scripture God says He will hide from us what He has planned until the end. He tells Daniel! Daniel 12:9 "And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end." He told Daniel, NO ONE WILL UNDERSTAND THESE THINGS UNTIL THE TIME OF THE END - When I choose to reveal them. Look at what He told John, "And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not." (Revelation 10:4). We think we know so much of God's plans, many have made millions writing books, forecasting these things. But God said, "It will be sealed until the end." The encouragement I will end with is this: We are all going to stand before Him, to everlasting life or to everlasting contempt, but we will all stand before Him. There will be a judgment. Revelation 20 is very clear, "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." Knowing this, that we all will stand before God one day, what manner of life should we therefore seek to live!? Standing in front of God, wouldn't we all love to be there unashamed, without guilt or regret!!? Wouldn't we all love to be so pure, so innocent that we might run up to Him, arms wide open and grab a hold of our Salvation, but face to face, and say, "It was all for you, Lord. I did it all for You!!" Truly friends everything I write, and speak, and do is with the intent to encourage us all that we might find ourselves there on that day, with Him, without fear, ready to receive the kingdom that He went to go and prepare for us!! And to be with Him, forever. Time is short. Can't you feel it? It's as if time itself has sped up! God is doing a quick work upon the earth and He said He would, many times, He told us, "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." (Matthew 24:22) And again in Luke 21, "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled." So buckle up friends! It's going to continue to be a wild ride! But remember what He told us, thru the prophet Daniel, "And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits ." And again Daniel prophecied, "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever." And again, "Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand." The righteous have nothing to fear. The wicked should be afraid, because their time comes to an end and soon there will be left no more time for repentance. All things will soon be fulfilled. And the saints of God will be rewarded!! Now go out, saints, and bring many to the knowledge of salvation - And into friendship with our God and Father, thru His Son, Jesus Christ! There has never been a better time, Amen!!? Much love. Robert
- Did China Really Just Cut Internet Cables in Europe!? Are they Dragging us into WW3!?
by Robert Anthony Nov 19th 2024 Now this is hard to imagine. But major news sources are picking up this story!? Now it is possible that all of this is the Biden Administrations last ditch effort to drag us into WW3 and somehow retain power under some "Wartime Martial Law" Effort? (Again, this is why I continue to encourage us all to be praying!) "Chinese ship spotted where Baltic Sea cables were cut" "Chinese cargo ship suspected in ‘sabotage’ of Baltic Sea cables" "The next front in U.S.-China tech battle? Underwater cables that power the global internet" A few news outlets are reporting that it was more than likely Russia, but several of them are mentioning that this Chinese Cargo ship was present just near to the cables around the same time that they were cut!? Could be blackmail? Could be someone (Russia) trying to drag China into this emerging global conflict!? Whatever just happened, Europe is furious over the event! I will share about a second dream I had. It's a really frightening one. I have shared it with several of my friends. I am supposed to be preaching here pretty soon and I will share the dream while preaching and post the video. We must not celebrate until President Trump in actually in the White House with his cabinet. And even then celebrate... but celebrate while we are getting ready for the tremendous task that lies before us. Pray that they don't get away with this - whoever is trying to start WW3. Why on earth did the Biden Administration just allow Ukraine to launch long-distance missiles into Russia!? He is a lame-duck President. Is he really going to hand the country over to Trump as the formal start of WW3 is unfolding!? Or is he going to pull some shenanigans!? and refuse to hand the country over!? We must pray that we can make it to the inauguration! Russia is also furious over Ukraine's use of American long range ballistic missiles being fired deep into their country. This is a very extremely delicate time. Pray saints. Pray.
- The Fight to Win Back America has Only Just Begun!
by Robert Anthony Nov 19th 2024 Assuming we make it to the inauguration without WW3 breaking out and somehow the deep-state / Democrat power-players stealing the country from us again (I jest, but I am actually quite serious that we need to be praying!) - the greatest work still lies before us. Once the President (Trump) makes it back to the White House, the wind will be in our sails! That means we will at least be on the move, but "on the move" to where!? We still need to fix our broken election system - it's still hard to understand how Trump was even elected!? (I hope I am not the only one trying to figure out why they didn't steal this from him/us, again?) Our government is still overran by socialist/Marxist policies from DC down to our local Town halls. This is our time to restore our nation and it's constitution! Remember, "All Politics is Local". This could very well be our finest hour as Americans! We are not a Monarchy or Dictatorship. We must restore the Constitutional Republic that we were founded to be. President Trump has a lot of power to champion our nations cause but he is one man and functioning federally. There are 50(ish) state governments and countless more counties - we will need to take the fight Locally ! As I write to you from Michigan, I am thinking of the overwhelming task that lies ahead for us here and all the problems within Michigan and even my own county that need to be dealt with, short order. The Republican Party is not "We The People". (Let's see how well that goes over.) What I mean is the power-brokers throughout the GOP all have their ambitions and not all of them are pure. Remember, in Michigan it was the Republican Party who created this broken election system!! The Democrats were not in power when the voting machines were purchased, when the centralized voting rolls were created, etc. The whole of the voting system in Michigan was created by our own (MI)GOP! So there is plenty of work to be done. Our school systems need a complete overhaul. I have so much to say about the curriculum in our gov't schools - they are loaded with propaganda and outright lies! Our Universities are almost entirely captured . They are not teaching science, objective philosophy or leading their students into the truth. They are entirely captured institutions pumping out a godless and anti-Republic, anti-US Constitution agenda and have been doing so for DECADES . Our banks, Wall Street and much of our economic system has been hijacked by those educated in this godless and Marxist University System. President Trump is absolutely on the right track going after the bureaucracy, shrinking the federal gov't, hopefully by 80-90%! But there is so much more work to be done, here, locally! We have long talked about Big Government and its corruption but what about Hollywood and Big Media!? Big Business, Banking, Wall Street!? The whole of our Health Care System, Big Pharma, the Medical Colleges, etc.!? These "physicians" quite literally NO EDUCATION in vitamins or minerals or all these natural remedies, at all !!? And we call this "Healthcare"!!? We often discuss the problems of Big Tech. Big Auto shipped countless factories and jobs outside of our nation. So we have alot of work to do. The next four years the wind will be behind us, filling our sails! This is our time to WORK!! To Truly Save America!! Not just talk about it... And there is plenty for ALL of us to get involved with. It took decades for our nation to be destroyed. It took generations for so much of America to be captured. If we are going to take it back, it's going to take a tremendous effort! But if we are committed to the cause, prayerful, bold but also patient as we make wise decisions - we can not imagine what we will be able to accomplish this next four years! But we must stay out of WW3. Our task to restore our nation will be dramatically hindered should we end up in a several front global conflict with Russia, Iran, China, etc. We must pray for wisdom and poise. We must pray for a series of miracles so that our enemies and the enemies of freedom are knocked back on their heels without the world being dragged into Full-Scale Conventional War, or worse! God, in His Power and Might, can accomplish this! We must seek Him. We will need His help. The Good News is: the American spirit is alive and well. Somehow, even with all this we have endured: Covid, the Stolen 2020 Election, the last 4-years under this Administration, etc. still our spirit has endured!! It's really something to consider! Nothing less than MIRACULOUS!! This fire that burns within us is much more powerful than we realize, much more powerful than our enemies realize. We have Hope, Resolve, an undaunted Vision for Freedom and Truth and there is still found a genuine Godly love within much of this nation! Our enemies really should take notice - and chose instead to partner with us rather than continue in conflict and war. These next four years could set up America and many of the nations of the world for a new Golden Era that perhaps has never existed since there has been nations on the earth! But Humility, Empathy and Patience will be a prerequisite of our leaders like never before, if we are going to pull this off. If we are going to get the (long term and lasting) victory, we must also win their hearts and minds along the way. It wont be enough to force Freedom and our version of the Republic down their throats - we are also going to have to literally win their loyalty to our way of thinking and believing. Otherwise we will continue to inspire the forever war, perpetually. Many of these criminals will need to be held to account. And we must win graciously, with class and self-control. We must not allow the criminals to roam the nations of the world free. And we must bring justice with wisdom, grace and even a little mercy here and there. I hope someone with a much larger audience is shouting this throughout the new government getting ready to take the lead. This is a desperate hour but a desperate hour that could become the moment of our nations salvation! Much to be praying about. We will need God's wisdom if we are to succeed in the great task before us. I believe in our nation. And I believe that God will help, even fighting for us in ways we can not comprehend! Believe with me saints... Prayerfully, Robert Anthony
- What The Lord Showed Me About This (2024) Election
by Robert Anthony Nov 10th 2024 I do have to admit I have been rather perplexed the past two years. As you will hear in the short segment of a sermon I preached in 2022 in Michigan, the Lord has been faithful to show me who would be President every year since 2000. It's not like I ever asked the Lord to show me who would be elected, He just started to do this on His own. I have been 100% accurate every election up until this one. Let me tell you what happened: I had this dream in ... honestly I dont remember exactly when I had it, but I had it before this sermon, I think I had the dream in Jan 2022? But it could have been Jan 2021? It's been a lot of years with a lot of stories... obviously I had the dream before I preached this sermon on Sept 25th 2022. That dream showed the Lord would return Trump to the White House! But then about a year ago, I had this Horrible Dream! HORRIBLE! It was Biden winning. A blue wave had swept across the nation and they were starting to attack the MAGA-Movement! It couldnt have been a worse dream. I have been praying and praying about this, asking the Lord, "Why? Why did you give me these two dreams and the second one was so wrong??" Well what He is showing me now is that I just didn't understand what He was showing me. HERE'S THE MESSAGE: Church, we are in the MOST DANGEROUS TIME. The days leading up to the inauguration. What kind of craziness might they try to never allow President Trump to be inaugurated?! What aren't our enemies capable of. Did they really release a Pandemic upon the world to stop President Trump in his first administration, dead in his tracks!? (And it worked!) If they are capable of releasing a virus on the world to stop him, to what extent aren't they willing to go to now to stop him from being inaugurated!? If you add up my dreams this is what the Lord is showing me. If we don't pray daily, like we've never prayed for the country before, praying for President Trump to make it thru the inauguration - they could still try to steal this from us!? The message is, "Celebrate after the inauguration!" Or better yet, celebrate later, much later! There is so much work to be done. After the inauguration we still have to fix everything that has been broken over the past four years, we still have WW3 breaking out - on three or four possible fronts!? President Trump and his team, together with the patriots, we have a mountain of problems - 20 Million illegal aliens are roaming our nation without ever being vetted!? There is much work to be done. Let's celebrate a little after the inauguration but then quickly get back to work!! And the work starts and finishes in prayer... (Honestly, Im going back into prayer right now...) The Big Miracle has happened, but we will still need a series of miracles to save this nation. The Fight has only just begun. And we will win... On our knees... More to come Robert (An Excerpt from the Message I gave Sept 25th 2022, Click Here to watch on Rumble ) ((If you want to watch the full sermon I preached that day, CLICK HERE . It's a really good message about Revival. It's more or less the fundamentals of revival and how it starts and how we keep it going, indefinitely. Much revelation in this message!! Many things I have never heard God give anyone else before!! If you love God and His Word, you'll love this entire message... Robert))
- Was This The Greatest Miracle in American History? (And What Comes Next...)
by Robert Anthony November 6th 2024 (Picture of Joshua Leading the Israelites into the Promised Land) What on earth just happened!? It's hard to take phone calls, respond to emails or texts. While I should be celebrating I find myself sitting here perplexed! They are still counting Alaska, Arizona and Nevada, seems Trump will win both of these electoral votes also, giving him, 312 votes total. There is no way out of this now, President Trump will be the 45th and 47th President of these United States! We should celebrate thru Christmas because we also won the Senate and chances are we could very likely win the House also! But while we are celebrating lets not lose sight of what we just won, we won back the ability to rebuild the nation. The nation was all but lost under Biden, America as we knew it was being ripped apart at its foundations and rebuilt into some dystopian-Marxist nightmare. The greatest work still lies ahead of us. At the top of the agenda must be ending the rapidly unfolding WW3. Trump said he could end the Russian invasion of Ukraine even before he is inaugurated. The war that is surrounding Israel, he has spoken of much less. Iran has it's version of, and vision for the Middle East, the Saudi's have theirs and certainly Israel and USA, we have ours. One could easily argue that there has been an active hot-war somewhere in the Middle East since the 1970's!? Do these wars have anything to do with us? Russia wants land from Ukraine and Iran wants rule of the Muslim Middle East. Do either of these conflicts directly affect our citizenry? Well, in a way they both do. Ex-President Bill Clinton made an agreement on the behalf of the United States that if Ukraine was to surrender their nuclear arsenal (back to Russia), the US would become something like their protectorate in the case that Russia or any other aggressor nation would intrude upon Ukrainian sovereignty. The Budapest Memorandum, as it is commonly called, gave these assurances to not only Ukraine, but to also Belarus and Kazakhstan, should they surrender their entire nuclear arsenals. Russia, the United Kingdom, France and China also signed the agreement, China and France giving much weaker assurances than Russia, the US and UK. While the document does not promise or guarantee any military assurances it allows the US and UK to act militarily should they deem such course of action necessary. To this day, "the United States publicly maintains that "the Memorandum is not legally binding", calling it a "political commitment"." (Wikipedia, The Budapest Memorandum ) The case that obligates the US to come Ukraine's rescue against this Russian invasion is actually rather weak. (Rather unfortunately, because I personally have many friends of Ukrainian descent and in The Ukraine.) The US politics surrounding this conflict are murky at best. Seems that Russian influence or even ownership of Ukraine was little diminished after the fall of their Soviet Empire but the west made a (slow) play to steal Ukraine away from Russia's grip, until Russia said, "Enough is Enough" - Putin and leadership unwilling to take the loss. And now the most frightening arsenals in the world are playing chicken over Ukraine, seeing who will flinch, first. President Trump has been signaling that he is unwilling to lose American lives over Ukraine's 30'ish year old boundaries. Russia has certainly trampled the Budapest Memorandum when it promised to respect the boundaries and borders drawn therein. But they, in doing so, will reference NATO coming to their doorstep and Ukraine leaving it's sphere of influence for the EU, saying, "They had no other choice but to fight for what is rightfully theirs." After what is now years of war (what started much smaller in the Donbas, 2014), all parties realizing there will be no quick and decisive victory for any stake-holder in the conflict, perhaps the time is ripe for a clever, charming and persuasive President Trump to save the day! He most certainly will ask for Ukraine to surrender some of its land to Russia, but in doing so will negotiate Ukraine away from Russian influence, once and for always... at least that's how he has been signaling thus far. But the war in Israel is even more complicated. Israel's enemies, all backed by Iran, have been amassing armies on their borders and throughout the region for decades now. Israel and it's civilian population have had to endure terrorism on a daily basis for generations, and increasingly. Hamas, on October 7th 2023, just committed the most horrendous and vile act of terrorism and barbarianism never before seen in the modern world, at least not since Hitler/Stalin. One could argue that Israel has already knocked their enemies back at least several years if not a decade from where they have advanced in political-regional influence and military capabilities. One could make the case that Israel has done enough for the time being in retribution and the rebuke of Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthi's, Iran and it's other various militia's - but what does the other side of the argument look like? Israel, in striving for years of peace and prosperity for it's citizens and nation, should continue to push-back and even destroy the capabilities of these aggressors and terrorists until they are simply unable and unwilling to rebuild their arsenals, boots-on-the-ground and war machines. Israel as a sovereign nation must take their destiny into their own, very capable, (democratic) hands and do what they determine best for their generations peace and blessing. We, Americans, that is to say our forefathers , fought and won this Republic. We pushed back our overlords, fought and won our freedoms. Ukraine is probably unable to stand against Russian might without convincing the EU and/or US for unlimited support (which equates to, rather frighteningly, nuclear-support). But as it pertains to Israel , this is a very different story than Ukraine, a very different story in a very different part of the world. Israel now has the opportunity to fight and win for themselves an entire generation of peace and prosperity in the land. They have shifted their populace onto a war-footing and there is now momentum as they fight for their peace and freedom. President Trump will support their efforts with both time and treasure - he will surely draw the line at US boots on the ground but advance our commitment to creating a new Middle East-status quo, a region at peace that could last a whole generation! And such a peace is well within the grasp of Israel and its almost entirely Arab-Muslim neighbors. President Trump and the partners signed on to the Abraham Accords, gave a new vision for the Middle East, a vision filled with free-trade relationships, peace agreements, new highways and avenues for transport, a brand new Middle East tourism industry, and more! The latter years of President Trump's first term were filled with hope and possibility, especially in the Middle East - and then came Covid. The 2020 Election ripped the White House out of President Trump and administration's hands and under Biden it seemed all was lost. But yesterday a miracle happened and President Trump's leadership and vision has been restored to us! and to Israel! The mess at our southern border, our broken healthcare industry, our economic troubles, inflation, our extreme debts, the low morale in our military, our troubled school system, these and other more domestic challenges can be adequately solved by the Presidents ability to build award winning teams and appoint amazing, gifted and extremely-qualified Americans to lead the efforts. But leading us and the world out of WW3, in my opinion, must take center stage. Innocent lives are being lost daily, families are being torn apart, children are losing their parents, wives are becoming widows overnight and with the right (Trump) leadership, this can all end, rather quickly. North Koreans have now put boots on the ground. Who knows what back door meetings Iran has been having to find for themselves new recruits against Israel. WW3 is at the world's doorstep, can the world step back from the brink and find for ourselves a new and peaceful way forward? Or are we destined to war for this generation? Let us shift our prayers now to the great work that lies ahead of us, with President Trump at the helm. Some of us will be of best use more locally, finding solutions for our town or cities many troubles: at our schools, with our hurting families, for the poor, rehabilitating prisoners, teaching our young people and convincing them to truth and hope again! Other's among us are called to our state capitals and state courts, to fix what we have learned, over the past few years, is broken and without a resolution. Even fewer among us are destined to Washington DC and out to the nations of the world. But we all must find what is our God-given destiny - for therein lies not only our purpose but our joy and fulfillment, shining for the world to see the splendor and beauty of the gift that God put inside of us - before the foundations of the world were laid. Destiny calls. President Trump answered, others around him have answered destiny's call and are performing brilliantly! But the work that lies before us demands a multitude, thousands of us willing to lay down our lives for God's great purpose. And seeking out our God and Father, we will find our way, our path thru the parting of the Jordan and into our own, proverbial, Land of Promise ! There has never been a better time, wherein all things are suddenly (once again) possible! Believe brothers and sisters, our prayers have been answered. We could each join the effort and live to see the Brightest Golden Era, ever in American history! We have our champion leading the way. Let's draft in behind him and even make a way for others, out of the wilderness and into that land - flowing with milk and honey! We have been hoping and believing that The Best is still yet to come... Our God and Father hasn't let us down... He heard our prayers from heaven And gave us the miracle. Now is our time It's time to cross the Jordan and to enter into His Best!! God bless you brothers and sisters... "His reward is with Him and His work is before Him." Amen.
- A Prayer on the Day of Voting
“Father today I pray that you save our nation. If you decide to allow something soo evil to prevail, we will trust you even still. But Father we repent, we repent for everytime we hardened our hearts against our neighbors and refused to love them. We repent for not always leading our families in holiness and purity. We repent for allowing our hearts to chase after the fallen things of this world: wealth, reputation, fame and earthly glory. We should have been looking to Eternity. We repent Father.” “We ask that you save our nation, not merely for our sakes but for Your Name’s sake. That Your Son would be lifted high in this country, that revival would come especially to the young people. We pray especially for them, save our children Father.” “On this Election Day we trust you with the outcome. You are the Sovereign God, high and above heaven and earth, exalted in glory and majesty! Worthy to be Praised. Father we worship You, and You alone. Thank you for choosing us. We chose You also. We love You. Amen.”
- We Win Regardless.
by Robert Anthony October 24th 2024 (Obviously we have endorsed President Trump and I am voting accordingly.) A quick reminder for my brothers and sisters. The things of the kingdom of God are expressed thru "Reaping and Sowing", "Seed time and Harvest". All of us who have been spending time in these Holy Scriptures and Face-time with our God, know this all too well. And then the scripture says, "But He provides the increase". (I Corinthians 3:7) God knows exactly what He is doing. Win or lose (the White House) - God allows it. And if this foundation isn't true - then He is not Sovereign. Simple math, here. For God to be all-powerful and Sovereign , God must also have the ultimate control over who are the world's leaders - even within a Voting-Republic. I pray that we leave these lower conspiracies behind, turn our eyes upon heaven and let the things of earth, grow strangely dim . When I say "these lower conspiracies" what I am referring to are the games the world of men are known to play. In the end, in eternity, none of these conspiracies have significance. Why? Because NO ONE "Trumps" God. Period. Full Stop. Do we think that this is the first empire rife with conspiracy and truths hidden as if behind a veil!? Russia, Germany, England, France, The Vatican, Rome, Greece, Persia, Babylon, Assyria, Israel, Egypt, etc. all had their share of hiding the true story behind piles of propaganda. Much of this we will only discover, I believe, in eternity. But thru all their plotting and cunning were any of them able to out whit and out maneuver the hand of God!? We tend to either give the devil too much credit or none whatsoever. We tend to either build that fallen angel into a fully equipped god or relegate him to utter insignificance. Those of us in the word of God know the truth: this broken spirit has only the power afforded to him by men coming into agreement with his lies and deception. And yet, even with the power he is given, he will never be able to steal even one of God's children away from Him. ("We wrestle not against flesh and blood.") In Conclusion - These are the greatest times in human history to spread God's good news! God has the whole world's attention! It's never been an easier time to tell them the truth: God loves you, He has a perfect plan to save the world, He will defeat the devil for us and we must trust Him and go along with His plan. The Bible is being proven true at a pace never before seen in human history! Now with all our science and communication advancements many gifted men and women are showing thru academia, science, philosophy, arts, archeology and more the ABSOLUTE AUTHENTICITY and ACCURACY OF THE WORD OF GOD! (We are posting many articles on these subjects.) Just remember, they will know us NOT BY OUR MERE INTELLECT, but BY OUR LOVE (one for another). "Its the Goodness of God that brings a man (or woman) to repentance." (Romans 2:4) None of us were really drawn to Him with mindful debate and the losing of an argument. We were drawn to Him by something much deeper and lasting, something otherworldly and a supernatural love! Therefore, in all our striving, let us strive to this end - to be God's love in the world!! The politics, as important as they are right now, have created the biggest divisions since the Civil War, without a doubt. And we, Christians, were called to be salt and light. Unafraid. Unrelenting. Unwavering in His love. God has this. Its a perfect plan. Even if we lose the White House. Pray. Vote. and then continue to show the world God's unwavering, unrelenting Love! Amen??? More to come. Robert.
- A new epidemic: Labeling and medicating children
BY REP. GLENN GRUENHAGEN AND CHRISTOPHER M. FOLEY, MD, ABIM Originally Published at MPPub Part One: a legislator’s perspective Prior to my election to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 2010, I served on my local school board for 16 years. During that time, I developed an interest in the increasing practice of labeling and medicating children who showed signs of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I learned that the procedure used to diagnose these children was primarily based on a series of questions from educators, which then resulted in a subjective judgment call and a recommendation to a physician to prescribe psychotropic medications. In almost all cases where students are diagnosed and subsequently labeled with a disorder, there is no objective medical evidence to determine this diagnosis. Special education programs—which include children labeled as having ADHD—is financed at about 80% of actual costs through state and federal funds, which creates major funding problems for local school districts that must fund the remaining 20%. In addition, schools are under increasing pressure to improve their metrics on grades and standardized test scores. These two factors can lead schools to turn to what appears to be a quick fix: medicate in hopes of managing behavior—and, potentially, improving test scores—all the while contributing to a dramatic increase in drug sales involving kids. The pharmaceutical industry promotes the value of this approach, visiting school boards and educators to stress the benefits of psychotropic medications to manage behavioral health concerns and increase test scores. Pharmaceutical representatives can no longer promote their products to physicians, but they can visit educators—and increase their profits, with estimates ranging as high as $7 billion annually for psychotropic drugs. Educators and counselors pass these messages on to parents, resulting in visits to physicians who may trust the recommendations of non-physician educators and write prescriptions without conducting a thorough assessment of the child’s needs. The result is a steep and rapid increase in psychotropic prescriptions. Spotting trends and concerns In 2006 I obtained a book coauthored by Nicholas A. Cummings, PhD, ScD, a former president of the American Psychological Association, entitled, “Destructive Trends in Mental Health: The Well Intentioned Path to Harm.” Two chapters piqued my interest: “Warning, Psychiatry can be Hazardous to your Health” and “The Diseasing of America’s Children.” Ten percent of all school-aged children are now labeled with ADHD. Credit: AmenClinics A March 2012 Psychology Today article, “Why French Kids don’t have ADHD,” stated that only one-half of one percent of French kids are labeled and medically treated for ADHD, compared to over 9% of American children. In France, diagnosis of ADHD takes into consideration the underlying causes in the child’s social context, addressing these through psychotherapy or family counseling, whereas the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders does not specifically include these underlying causes. The result is a much larger number of medicated American children. A recent article on the front page of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that 10% of all school-aged children are now labeled with ADHD. Then in November 2018, FEE (Foundation for Economic Education) published an article titled “Harvard Study Shows the Dangers of Early School Enrollment,” which warned about the dangers of labeling and medicating pre-school children. The article stated that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimated approximately 11% of children are diagnosed with ADHD in the U.S. It also included numerous other concerns of early school enrollment. Lifetime impacts Another disturbing fact is that the use of psychotropic drugs on the developing brains of children seriously impairs their ability to serve in the military. I have visited with several military recruiters over the last several years who confirmed that the use of psychotropic drugs can result in denial into our military branches. The reason they are denied is that one of the negative side effects of long-term use of psychotropic drugs is violent out-bursts of uncontrollable rage. It should be evident why the military has serious concerns regarding the use of these drugs on developing children. In addition, there is a crisis of young people committing suicide. It would be interesting to study how many were on psychotropic drugs at the time of death. Finally, probably the most serious concern is the growing evidence of the connection between young mass shooters, both in and out of our schools, who also have a history of long-term use of psychotropic drugs. Action steps I am aware that this is an extremely controversial issue with psychiatrists and pharmaceutical companies who deny that there is any possible connection—however it is one of the primary reasons I authored a bill (HF713) in the Minnesota House of Representatives, which would create a study group of experts to research some of the previously mentioned concerns. My concerns are also partially based on the 2013 report of the OLA (Office of the Legislative Auditor), which identified that Minnesota has more than 170 additional laws and regulations over and above the federal requirements on special education. These additional laws have never been evaluated for costs or effectiveness! During the 2019 legislative session, I also offered an amendment (A173) on the House floor with additional language specifically addressing the excessive labeling and medicating of children. The amendment passed on a strong bipartisan vote; however, this language did not make it into the final educational omnibus bill signed by the governor. I intend to try again in 2020. A personal note Whether you agree or disagree with the above information, I think we should all agree that an in-depth study should be done on the costs and effectiveness of Minnesota’s special education requirements. Let me stress that I do not want to hurt any special education students. I have relatives who were in special education programs, but I am committed to finding factual answers to the above concerns. Part Two: a physician’s concerns As a general internist with a special interest in pharmacology, nutritional and botanical medicine, and complex illness, I have grown especially concerned with the misapplication of drugs—often many in the same patient. The rapid evolution of the physician (and other provider) workplaces with computerized medical records and the compulsion to practice medicine by “drop down menu” has added to the propensity to overprescribe. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the inappropriate overprescribing of psychotropic drugs for children—often by physicians who have not adequately examined the child. Questions about effectiveness Many drugs used to manage mood and behavior in children either have very little scientific basis (never tested thoroughly in youth under 18) or have a very undesirable risk-to-benefit ratio. This latter item is rarely, if ever, fully disclosed to the patients or their legal guardians in the spirit of informed consent. Examples include medications like Risperidone, a drug now in relatively common use for schizophrenia and other related thought disorders that has profound implications when given long term. It can actually cause permanent brain damage, resulting in irremediable tardive dyskinesia (an involuntary movement disorder that is both humiliating and disabling). Many drugs used to manage mood and behavior in children ... have a very undesirable risk-to-benefit ratio. The so-called “serotonin reuptake inhibitors,” long in use for the management of depression and anxiety (Prozac, Zoloft, etc.) in fact have very little scientific basis for their action. They are routinely given for anxiety and depression, particularly in children who suffer various types of posttraumatic stress disorder from abusive homes, injuries, medical conditions, and other factors. There is very little validated evidence that they are safe or effective in children. In fact, there is a boxed warning regarding both homicidal and suicidal ideations on several of these drugs that are commonly used. A recent expose disclosed that a majority of mass shootings have been perpetrated by individuals taking these drugs. The breathtaking element here is the utter lack of scientific scrutiny for safety and efficacy, particularly when given on a long-term basis (longer than six months). Trends in diagnoses Another overriding concern is the growing number of individuals using these medications. Much of this goes back to the publication of the fourth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV) in 1994. When this now-revised fourth version came out, reported rates of ADHD, autism, and childhood bipolar disorder increased dramatically, largely because of the then-new DSM definitions. Some have called this “diagnostic inflation,” a phenomenon that is strongly promoted by pharmaceutical companies in concert with the psychiatry profession and those who write the DSM revisions. As soon as an illness is codified this way, spending for pharmaceutical solutions skyrockets. The current DSM-V was published in 2013, and, predictably, started a new epidemic of childhood mental disorders by introducing a new diagnosis: Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD). A recent editorial in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry goes to great lengths to distinguish between ADHD, childhood manic-depressive disorder, and DMDD in order to help distinguish specific treatments that should be studied and applied in each individual illness. What I find astonishing is that doctors are taking the advice of school employees with no medical training and writing prescriptions without demanding more evaluation by trained professionals. Arguably, it is a bit more work for the medical team to look at nutrition, specific biomarkers such as vitamin D, toxins in the environment, subtle infections including Lyme disease, and even exposure to specific frequencies of light (especially near-infrared and red light). There is scientific evidence that many of these factors are related to the prevalence of adolescents with severe mental illness. When physicians prescribe psychotropic medications that could do harm based on a recommendation from educators, without conducting their own assessment of the child’s needs and home life or seeking a second opinion from a behavioral health specialist, the result is the current explosion of labeling and medicating—creating a situation not unlike the opioid epidemic. Parents may not have the resources to seek second opinions, or may live in areas with shortages of psychiatrists, but this follow-up would serve schoolchildren best. Recommendations for evaluation and treatment It was not that long ago when many practitioners failed to test children with behavioral disorders for a condition called PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections). This condition is of a neuro-immune nature, much like rheumatic fever, but the brain is the target, instead of the heart and joints. It can result in profound mood changes, night terrors, enuresis, and severe obsessive-compulsive tendencies. I have seen many children with this illness who are treated quite quickly and incorrectly with Zoloft or some similar drug with no appropriate investigation. Rarely is such detective work performed when a child is referred by a teacher to a psychiatrist for evaluation and treatment. That consultation almost always results in a prescription based solely on the educator’s assessment. The issue is that thoroughly evaluating a child for underlying causes of aberrant behavior is simply more labor-intensive than writing a prescription. However, that should not deter physicians from finding a better way to evaluate and treat rather than contribute to yet another explosion of psychotropic drugs that are poorly studied in children—many of which can have lifelong side effects and implications. A growing number of physicians, including myself, are doing such detective work, often coming up with solutions that obviate the need to use psychotropic drugs. This needs to be encouraged, studied much more extensively, and, as a policy, prioritized as a healthier way to approach childhood neuropsychiatric problems rather than just reaching for a prescription pad.
