By Robert Anthony May 24th This year Memorial Day and Pentecost almost fell on the same day. Of course Memorial Day traces it's roots back to the Civil War is a memorial for all our soldiers and military men who gave their lives in the line of duty, preserving freedom for this nation. Pentecost was the day the Holy Spirit was given to Jesus' brand new apostles and is widely accepted as the birth day of His Church. What a powerful time of remembrance this weekend! We are memorializing two groups of soldiers this weekend: the soldiers who died for our United State of America and the mighty men and women of God, those spiritual soldiers who first birthed Jesus' Church!! All Glory be to God. These precious ones who we remember laid down their lives so that we might live, live free, live free to seek our God - speaking of those first apostles of the Lamb, we have the scriptures and know the most precious things of God because of them! But what if no one is willing to suffer for a cause!? The reason we have these days of memorial is to wake up our hearts and souls to remember those few who chose to trade their lives away for a cause: America as a beacon of light and freedom in a world still highly enslaved to ruling classes, those who have little to no thought for their subjects, and, the first Church, the first believers and those first apostles of Christ, many of whom laid down their lives for the sake of this gospel, for it to be known to the whole world! And for what are we trading away our lives? Our days are passing. Hours and moments are past that we will not get back, ever again. We are trading our youth, our hopes and dreams, we are trading away our most precious moments on this earth, and for what? Will our lives be worthy to be remembered? Even if only by a few, will we love them enough that they would memorialize our lives and the time they had with us? We aren't going to get a second shot at this! There won't be a "do-over". What we choose do with these days God has given us will either be remembered or they will be forgotten, for all of eternity... Sobering thought. The hours we spend watching television and the news. The hours we spend wasting away time on our phones. The countless days we spend trying to make more money (and yet hardly getting ahead). Sobering. But these are the messages we must be writing and sharing among ourselves. "Make this life count, Lord!" I had two grandfathers serve in US wars: WW2 and Korea. My grandfather that fought in WW2 was a real war hero. Was he honored in his life? I can tell you this: he died at 74 years old while working at a Taco Bell as a cashier. He was quite literally a war hero. He was with the liberating forces who first discovered Hitler's concentration camps. We should honor our veterans, especially the veterans for foreign wars. We should buy their coffee's, pay for their meals at restaurants, honor them with kind words and acknowledgement of their service and more! It's the very least we can do. Let's honor our soldiers this weekend - but we should also honor our ministers, our missionaries, our evangelists and other men and women who have devoted themselves of holiness, a life of service and devotion to God and man, trying to inspire the world to Jesus and further into His kingdom. Some other ministers might not deserve much honor. Some of today's ministers are practically robbing from the poor to make themselves rich, I have seen this far too often. But we should honor the people who are actually living their lives for the Kingdom of God, in Spirit and in truth. And in honoring these precious servants of God and man, we might just wake ourselves up, coming away from abject mediocrity and finally come to faith: a life worthy of the kingdom of God (and His Christ)! When the body starts to wear down, when the grey hairs start to replace the color we once had - when we enter the twilight of our lives, will we live with regret or reward? The reward of a life well-lived before God is our testimony, and no man will take that away from us. But the punishment of a wasted life is regret, wishing we could start over and try it all again but knowing we can not. On this Memorial Day and Pentecost Weekend let us take an account of our lives remembering how short truly it is. Let us honor those who have come before us and traded away their lives for some great cause, especially winning souls! Let us give God thanks for them and in doing so, bless our own hearts and souls. Time is short. And it's never too late to awaken to righteousness. It's never too late to give our lives over to God for a great purpose and calling! And it all starts in prayer. It's not too late. It's not too late to tell your long lost son (or daughter) that you love him (or her), it's not too late to seek forgiveness from the souls that we have wronged, it's not too late to love your wife or husband and start your marriage over again, it's not too late to give God your life and allow Him to turn it into something worthy of eternity! God will redeem the time, He can redeem the days and years that were stolen from us. He's just that powerful. He just needs a willing soul. God bless you all this Memorial Day and Pentecost Weekend. By Robert Anthony May 19, 2026 Adam walked with God. So Adam must have learned something about meeting with God face to face. It’s such a curious story—how the Lord chose to begin His creation. I often think about it. He could have started the world quite differently—really any way He wanted to… The Lord could have made tens of thousands of men out of the dirt. He could have given Adam hundreds of wives (to multiply the earth faster). God could have made Adam and Eve on the same day. But He did not. There must be a purpose in all of this, even from the very beginning. Adam and Eve both got to walk with the Lord God as He would come into the midst of the Garden of Eden. It must have been absolutely amazing for them whenever they would get that face-time with God! Could you imagine? It seems to me that here at the end, we should look back to the beginning — wherein man walked with God, which was always His desire for us — and get insight into how we prepare ourselves to return to walking with Him face to face. This intimate story speaks volumes to me! Adam was first alone with his Father, and then, sometime later, God put Adam to sleep and made Eve. The Bible isn’t clear about how long Adam was with God alone before God gave him his Eve, but what is clear is that Adam first had a season alone, with God in the garden. And being alone with God now, what would He say to us? Are we comfortable being alone with God? When we are alone with Him, what will we say? I think the whole story of preparing ourselves for eternity begins with this very simple, very intimate reality of coming to know God—even now—intimately and uniquely. Perhaps as Christians, or as followers of God, we think it better to go out and win souls, to do some great work in these last days for God—to show Him our love and convince Him we are “good enough” for heaven. But I’m not so sure that is what God is looking for. Jesus even said, “I will build My Church.” It’s curious how little we hear of this fundamental premise of Jesus’ ministry and encouragement to us. Of course, we evangelize. We tell the world about Jesus because it’s so enjoyable to win souls to God! But at the end of the day, Jesus is building HIS Church… because after all, it’s quite literally His. I like to think that as Adam got to know his Father, at some point God decided Adam was ready for more responsibility but also a reward! God put Adam to sleep and fashioned out of Adam’s side a woman (for she came out of man). And Adam was immensely blessed! He must have realized it. So then Adam had to teach his wife everything he knew. I don’t know if there has been much preaching on this—but logically speaking, since Adam was older than Eve and had already spent time alive in the garden with God, Adam would have to show Eve around. Adam probably taught her about the food and trees of the garden—even the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil—and it seems very clear to me that it was Adam’s responsibility to help his wife learn to live in the garden and also learn to walk with God. (I hope you can see that.) Here at the end, once we are walking with God and comfortably right with Him, once we let Him lead us away from sin and learn to be a different and set-apart person on the earth, we should probably bring all that we have learned to our Eves—to our wives, to our most precious gift from our Father! But we should probably do a better job than Adam… Why didn’t he protect Eve? Have you ever considered it? Why didn’t Adam stand up to that dragon, that serpent—the devil who is Satan—when he was tempting Eve, and tell the devil to leave her alone!? It seems Adam didn’t try at all to guard his wife from that evil. Remember, Adam was standing right next to her, watching and listening to the whole thing as it unfolded! (Genesis 3:6 “…she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.”) So perhaps in preparing ourselves to meet with God, we should help the most important person to us in the whole world also prepare herself to meet with God face to face. What do you think? There are piles of scriptures telling us to love our wives, keep our family close to God, run a godly household, etc. There are many scriptures about those who would lead the body of Christ, and every time Paul was writing about these leaders and teachers he mentioned the family and how vital it is that these men know how to keep their families with God—or else they aren’t fit to lead! In preparation to meet with God, we prepare our own hearts and souls and then, almost in tandem with preparing ourselves, we prepare our families also—beginning with the most important person in our life (after God), our wife! And now, after having presented those closest to us to God, making them ready to be with God forever—now are we ready to go and convince the world to Jesus!! If I am missing something from Scripture, I would love to hear your thoughts. But this is my focus—keep my wife and children before the Lord’s face, keep my own soul ready to meet Him, and then perhaps He will give me other families to bless with His living Word, His living Spirit, and Truth! I love them all so much. I am so blessed that they all love the Lord with their whole hearts, the same way I do!! At least, even if I fail with my life and ministry and business and whatever else I do with this life—at least I can look Him, look my God right in the eyes and say, “At least I did a good job with my family! I loved them with everything inside of me. And I kept them in Your way…” To me, that would be enough…. There are so many things I would like to do for Him in this final hour of the world, but really most of that is up to Him—the One who is building His Church. I am content to wait on Him while He writes His story in me and upon the earth. Truthfully, I don’t know if I am ready. To think about standing in front of Him face to face is pretty overwhelming. So I pray, “Lord, make me ready to stand before You. Purge out of me all things that offend and anything defiled.” Sure, it’s a furnace, and it’s hot and uncomfortable, but if that’s where Jesus is, that’s also where I want to be…. By David Silver May 13th 2026 There is a well known joke here in Israel that when we agree to a cease-fire with our enemies that is forced upon us, generally by the various presidents of the USA, Israel always 'ceases' and the enemy continues to 'fire.' The not so funny thing about that joke is that it is usually true. Surprisingly, after the cease-fire between the US, Iran and unwillingly, Israel, Iran has not directly fired at Israel, but no doubt Iran is encouraging Hezbollah to break the cease-fire between Israel and Lebanon, which they have been doing increasingly as the days go on. As much as nearly every Israeli wants to live in peace with our neighbors and the rest of the world, most of us who have seen many such cease-fires, do not like them. If your nation is at war with another nation, and your army gains a clear victory, the other side, when they realise they have no hope, will be looking for a cease-fire, and most normal countries will honour the terms of the agreement. For instance Germany and Japan realized they were totally defeated, and made no plans to violate the armistice. To everyone's relief the war ended, peace was restored, and everyone prospered. However when you are at war with a regime that is under the influence of a demonic ideology, entering into a premature cease-fire before the enemy is crushed beyond any chance of rising up again, is a very foolish and dangerous thing to do, especially when your side has the upper hand in the conflict at the time. I have to admit that every time Israel has been forced to stop fighting a war that was forced upon us by Hamas, Hezbollah or Iran, I was very angry and felt sick in my stomach. Our leaders had been promising us that the IDF and IAF (Israeli Air Force) would not stop until the enemy was destroyed and would never be able to attack us again. Even after the horrors of October 7th, which never could have happened if the USA had not stopped Israel from doing much more damage to Hamas in previous wars, Israel capitulated to the demands of President Trmp, and agreed to a cease-fire leaving Hamas in a place where they can rebuild, and that is exactly what they have been doing - refusing to disarm and increasing control over the people of Gaza. This cease-fire will ultimately fail. Agreeing to a cease-fire in that situation usually has the following result... It takes the pressure off the enemy forces and gives them time to regroup and rearm. It often causes your own forces to lose ground that cost many of your military men's lives. Many times more were wounded, some with life-changing injuries. It makes the huge amount of money and energy that your country spent on getting the upper hand, an almost criminal waste, when you have people living in poverty. It sends the current enemy, and others who are watching, a message that your leaders are soft and do not have the fortitude to fight to the end. This further encourages them to demand ridiculous conditions for the cease-fire to become permanent. You can be sure such an enemy will rebuild and try to destroy your nation at sometime in the future. In the Koran there is a word 'Hudna' which can mean truce or cease-fire, but it can also mean a pause to buy time to rearm and regroup. And that is exactly what Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah are doing with the American leaders who don't seem to understand these things. In His word the Lord shows King Saul through the prophet Samuel how to deal with the enemy 1 Samuel 15:3 Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’” In 1939, as Hitler's Nazi Regime was growing in power, against the advice of Winston Churchill, PM Neville Chamberlain went to Germany to meet Hilter. He achieved his goal and returned home with a big smile on his face, waving a sheet of paper in his hand, declaring "peace in our time." The paper was a promise by Hitler to use diplomacy rather than war to settle future disputes, which he soon violated and WW2 broke out. At the end of the war, 6 years later, more than 80 million military people and civilians were dead. When I hear President Trump pushing for a cease-fire with Iran, and forcing Israel to be a part of it I shudder in despair. When he says that he is dealing with a new regime, I know that this is a lie. It is the same regime, with even more evil leaders who have replaced the ones killed by Israeli and US air strikes when the war began. Does he not understand that radical Muslims will never surrender or give up their openly stated goals of destroying the 'big Satan' and the 'little Satan.' ? God forbid, if that were to ever happen, who would save the world from being forced to convert to Sunni Islam or die ? We know from the Bible, that God will not allow that to happen, but if President Trump continues with the 3 cease-fires that are in place at this time with Iran, Hamas and Lebanon, we in Israel know from nearly 80 years of experiences with our Muslim enemies, ending a war with a cease-fire is the most foolish and dangerous thing to do. Unless you finish the war you will have to face that same enemy again sometime in the future. Remember: Ending a war is not the same as finishing a war.

We want to change the world? Everything starts small, local, like a seed planted. Nothing great ever started big - no one great was born great, but made, fashioned and refined thru life to become something special. And this truth also plays itself out within Politics.
