Consider My Friend, Micaiah Owens for Flint City Mayor!

Dear friends, I want to introduce you to a wonderful Mayoral Candidate in Flint Michigan. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Mr Owens over the past few months. He is running as an Independent, which I really enjoy. Many of you know the troubles we have had, as a movement, in election integrity especially, over the years with the MIGOP and Republican Party in general.


I dont intend to throw anyone under the bus - and I realize what a hot-button issue election integrity has become - but neither party seems truly interested in solving the problem. While I commend President Trump in his Voter ID pursuits, that is merely one small step in tackling what is clearly a corrupt and broken voting system (in the world's leading democracy). Having said that, Maybe an Independent in Flint is "Just What the Doctor has Ordered"!?

Mr Owens is a lawyer but so much more. To start, Micaiah's mother sacrificed her career to educate Micaiah and his siblings on the west-side of the state. His father spent much if not most of his career/ministry going after the children, convincing them to God, thru Jesus Christ! And what an example! Kids dont tithe, children don't carry much of a voice (in our society), they don't exude much political prowess in the "church-world' and yet they remain the future! Few ministers will ever focus their ministry on the kids simply because there is no immediate reward in doing so. And this Godly-example was Micaiah's father. (Praise God for him!) When I first met Micaiah I was ready to convince him not to run. (He doesn't know this. When he reads this article he will be reading this for the first time.) Politics is such a nasty business, filled with such malice, lawlessness and worse - I was ready to convince my new friend away from such horrors - and then, of course, there is quite an emphasis added as he is running for mayor in FLINT, of all places!


But this kind-hearted, genuine, intelligent, family-man/lawyer also has some real strength and determination undergirding him! He seems rather aware of the greatness in the task that lies ahead, and he seems totally and completely undaunted, and even prepared! What is also amazing, the law firm where Mr Owens works actually specializes in representing municipalities of various sizes and the government officials who lead them. I'm asking the believers to pray for Micaiah and his family. His wife is pregnant with their first child and the task that lies ahead of them win/lose is great, to say the least.
